Sally Hansen Gem Crush Showgirl Chic

Today I have Sally Hansen's Gem Crush Showgirl Chic to share with you. The rest of the collection consists of all glitters. And I hate to admit this, but the past month we had so many glitter releases that I am beginning to get tired of it (that's why I didn't buy the other ones). Not that I am completely tired of it, I'd love to see more, but in different varieties (such as this one). I skipped out on the rest, and only bought Showgirl Chic which is the only one that caught my eye.

Showgirl Chic is a silver micro-glitter with round royal blue glitters. 2 coats.

The formula was a bit thick, and that's expected for glitters like this. I didn't have much problems applying it though. It went on pretty smooth for me. And only one coat of top coat was needed. I found this at my local Duane Reade, I think it was for $5.49 a bottle but I don't really remember.

Did you purchase anything else from the Gem Crush collection?

  1. You know, I'm kinda burnt out on the glitters, I think. I have a few I've picked up - I got Love, Marilyn from Eye Candy and from these I got Big Money. I didn't buy ANY Muppets glitters!
This looks good on you, though, and it's a pretty shade.

  4. I hadn't seen this one before, but it looks just like Lorelei's Tiara by China Glaze which I wore for New Year's; awesome polish.

  5. I'm starting to feel like a lot of the glitters are looking the same, so I've become choosy when buying them. I have so many already. They will always hold a special place in my heart though ;0). This one looks really pretty.

  6. Really pretty, but I think Lorelei's tiara from China Glaze might be a dupe for it? :)

  8. I just bought this one and love it. I put a silver Ulta Professional base on beforehand to minimize chipping. I only used one coat of gem crush and that was good. You do have to apply more pressure to the brush to get the blue flecks to go on your nail, but it's a beautiful result. Honestly, it's so sparkly, I keep expecting it to glow in the dark. Lol.
